Customer Service Rep

The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Rep with strong customer skills in our Glendale Heights location.

The Customer Service Rep is an integral position within our team. The purpose of this role is to provide exceptional service to our customers on a daily basis. Professionalism, responsiveness and follow through are key. The goal is to keep our customers highly satisfied. The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Functioning as the key point of contact for our customers, answering questions, providing delivery and tracking information, and resolving issues/complaints in a professional, positive and responsive manner
  • Processing orders, forms, applications and requests
  • Handling the accounts receivables process and bill entry
  • Maintaining the customer databases
  • Diligently and professionally following through on all customer requests
  • Resolving issues quickly by escalating as needed to management as necessary
  • Engaging the sales team when needed to help answer and resolve customer questions and concerns
  • Learning and understanding our products and services, including how they function and operate, in order to provide the best possible level of customer service to all our customers

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year customer service experience, preferably within an office setting
  • Computer literacy, including fluency in Word and Excel
  • Experience with QuickBooks a plus

  • Proven ability to provide superior customer service over the telephone and electronically
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy
  • Solid track record of being highly productive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to build rapport, work effectively and collaborate in a team environment, and with all levels within the organization, as well as the ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to listen well
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize and follow-through
  • Highly self-motivated, resourceful, analytical and detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage up and seek assistance when appropriate
